Maja Salvador earns new showbiz moniker; renews contract with TV5

In nearly two decades in the entertainment industry, multi-talented actress Maja Salvador proved she can do just about anything. Whether it’s performing a dance number, singing hit singles, or stirring the audience’s emotions with her acting, she’s not one to easily back down from a role.

Her professionalism also earned her the respect of some of the industry’s executives.

So it comes as no surprise that Cignal and TV5 recently awarded Maja with the distinction of “Majestic Superstar” as recognition for her passion and dedication to showbiz.

Maja Salvador is the country’s first and only Majestic Superstar

“Very thankful ako, grateful ako sa Cignal and TV5 family kasi simula umpisa, grabe ‘yong suporta talaga at pagpaparamdam sa akin na sobrang welcome talaga ako,” Maja said during the Her Majesty Reigns media conference held last April 5, Tuesday, at TV5’s Reliance Studio.

The newly proclaimed “Majestic Superstar” added that the secret behind her success in showbiz throughout the years comes from her passion for acting and towards those who supported her every step of the way.

Her long-term boyfriend, Rambo Nuñez Ortega, CEO of Crown Artist Management, also plays a significant role in Maja’s life by allowing her to flourish and put her career first.

Maja is among the artists who entered the TV5 family just as the network was trying to rebuild its reputation for being a source of entertainment for Filipino audiences everywhere.

Cignal TV and TV5 CEO and President Robert Galang is happy to have Maja in the network, saying that she’s professional, easy to work with, and gives her all in any project they throw her way.

“Maja’s versatility as an actress, host, judge, and overall performer has made her a perfect fit for all the projects she has done for and with the network in the past year. We are honored and proud of all her achievements, and we look forward to seeing her transform yet again as she reinvents herself in the upcoming projects that she will be doing with us soon,” Galang shared.

Thanks to the professional relationship between Maja and the network, the award-winning actress signs anew with Cignal Entertainment for a partnership that offers a lot of firsts in the new phase of her career as TV5’s prime star.

Presently, Maja is preparing for the grand finale of her record-breaking primetime series Niña Niño. The show recently celebrated its first anniversary as the most-watched primetime program produced by Cignal Entertainment.

Moreover, the show also received international recognition as it bagged top awards at the prestigious 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards. Niño Niña received the Best Drama Series award, while Maja took home the Best Actress of the Year award.

Niña Niño also joined Netflix Philippines’ roster in December 2021 and instantly became one of the most streamed Netflix programs, remaining on the Top 10 list several weeks after it launched.

Although the show is nearing its end, Cignal and TV5 have more in store for Maja. She’ll soon star in her first-ever sitcom that’s guaranteed to show her versatility and comedic prowess.

Maja teased that she’ll be taking on the role of a performer in the upcoming sitcom. She’ll also be undergoing training in preparation for the role because she needs to be mentally, physically, and emotionally ready.
