AMA Online Education (AMA OEd) the country’s first fully online education platform today launched talk show host and talent manger Boy Abunda as its Level-Up Ambassador.
Through the partnership announced at a contract signing event with school executives, Abunda will help promote AMA OEd’s post-graduate courses and eventually will be part of its academe.
Upon being approached by AMA OEd to be the face of its advocacy of opening doors to better life opportunities through further education, Abunda immediately agreed as it is in line with his personal views on life-long learning-something he has exhibited in his own quest to earn his diploma.
Abunda became a highly successful television personality, publicist, and talent manager, despite being not being a college graduate. Yet even with all the accolades, he never wavered in his desire to finish school.
In 2009, the Tonight with Boy Abunda host earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from the Philippine Women’s University. He did not stop there and in 2011 Abunda earned his Master of Arts degree.
Wanting to expand his education further, he pursued a better understanding of social policy and in 2016, he was conferred his Doctor of Philosophy in Social Development degree.
“Through my own experience, I know how hard it can be to balance life priorities and pursuing further education. But I highly believe that you’re never too old to keep learning. This partnership with AMA OEd will help me promote my own advocacy of becoming a life-long learner while helping those Ilooking for better opportunities discover that they can pursue further studies online at their convenience,” Abunda said.
Apart from promoting its online masters and doctorate degrees, Abunda will also get the chance to teach AMA OEd students as he is set to join the AMA academe.
“ I look forward to imparting my knowledge from years of experience in the field of communication and help shape the next generation media and public relations practitioners,” Abunda added.
For its part AMA OEd shares Abunda’s belief that there are no limitations when it comes to pursuing further education.
“We’ve always believed in innovating education and that is why we created AMA OEd. We wanted to provide a platform for those who are hindered by different circumstances like distance from physical classrooms, disability, and having full-time jobs where they can continue to pursue further education anytime and anywhere,” said Dr. Amable C.
