Kapamilya star Liza Soberano and her perennial onscreen partner Enrique Gil are in Croatia to shoot for their upcoming television comeback, Make It With You.
In an interview with Manila Standard during the media launch for her new Jollibee commercial, the 21-year-old actress couldn’t explain the character she’s going to portray but we have to ask her a few questions to verify what our reliable source said of her new role. Our source said Liza is playing a daring role—a prostitute.
“It’s something new to me. I can’t give out any details yet but it’s going to be a mature role,” she said.
Asked if her character somehow resembles one of the Spice Girls, the theme for her new TVC, the beautiful actress smiled and answered with a big “Yes!”
Liza recently joined Jollibee’s star-studded roster of endorsers to promote the brand’s newest snack, the Crispy Spice Fries.
“I’m really happy to be part of the Jollibee family, specifically because my family really loves Jollibee, and of course, I love the food,” said Liza. “Being welcomed by them the other day was such a wonderful experience. Everyone just showered me with warmth.”
The young actress’s fun demeanor and sense of spontaneity and adventure makes her the perfect match for the delicious Crispy Spice Fries.
“I believe that I’m really spontaneous, especially when I’m with my friends. One day I’ll wake up and want to be somewhere and do something new, and I do it!’” Liza shared. “That’s why I relate to the Crispy Spice Fries. When you eat it, you feel a certain rush because of the spices and the flavor. When I’m with friends and people I love, I always want to do something that gives me a certain rush, that spice!”
“We’re really happy to have Liza in our Jollibee family,” said Kay Segismundo, Jollibee Senior Marketing Manager for Complementary Products. “We can’t think of anyone more adventurous and likeable to represent our new Jollibee Crispy Spice Fries. It’s a very exciting product and campaign, and we look forward to having such a coveted personality carry that excitement with her.”
