There are a few names that have been waiving the Philippine flag on the international music scene, but in reality, there’s still plenty of work to be done before Filipino musicians could penetrate the international market.

Tarsier Records launches Inigo Pascual’s international career
BIGGEST CAREER MOVE. Inigo Pascual launches his first internationally-produced single “Options,” his bold move to reach a global audience.

And it’s true, no work is easy that’s why Tarsier Records is using all its resources to promote local musicians globally.

“We launched in September 2017. It was my brainchild. I worked for six months producing the first tracks. We went to Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong for distribution and partnerships and we finally launched in September with our first group of artists,” Tarsier Records Chris Lopez told Manila Standard in an interview.

Among the artists that the label launched in 2017 were Kiana V, Sam Concepcion, and Markus.

“They are some of our big ones,” Chris added.

“We wanted to be seen as a portal of Filipino music to the rest of the world. It’s a slow process but we’re trying hard and if there’s anyone who can lead the charge, it’s the guy right there,” the music executive said pointing his fingers to Inigo Pascual whose upcoming LP is being produced by Tarsier Records.

Inigo is back with brand new music as he launched his first international solo single, “Options,” produced by LA-based instrumentalist Bernard “HARV” Harvey.

“Options” is the title track of his upcoming LP, also named Options that is slated to drop at the last quarter of 2019. This exciting international album is produced under Tarsier Records together with music producers including HARV and songwriter Felisha “Fury” King, who writes and produces songs for the popular FOX TV show, Empire, and several other artists including Justin Bieber and Eminem.

Inigo released the lead single “Options,” a song he first performed at the legendary Viacom Times Square building in New York. The soothing track tackles an all-too-familiar situation—the battle between the mind and the heart in the millennial world of dating.

2019 is indeed shaping up to be a huge year for the singer-songwriter, as he has officially kicked off his biggest career move yet—crossing over to reach global audiences as ABS-CBN continues to champion Filipino talents on the world stage.

He recently launched his first international collaboration, “Mr. Nice Guy,” with Australia’s no. 1 YouTuber and Chinese recording artist, Wengie. The music video currently boasts it’s top spot at the MYX Philippines charts and more than three million views on YouTube alone. Following this, his “Beautiful” collaboration with Markus, Kyler, and Moophs topped the NMF PH Playlist as the number one local release.
