Althea Ruedas, 6, and Angelo Rhein Chanyongco, 7, two of the youngest contestants in Ever Kiddie Stars tilt emerged as the grand winners of the annual talents search’s 16th edition, which was held on June 2.
All contestants (seven charming boys and seven bubbly girls) presented themselves in themed costume and formal wear, then amused the audience with their talents in singing, dancing, and acting.
Each kid—amidst the intense pressure and under glaring lights – performed beyond expectations and being shortlisted in the contest was already a big achievement for them.
“Ever Malls is very happy to once again give talented kids from all over the country this wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shine and get their ‘artista’ potentials discovered. Just the sight of these kids on stage gives a huge amount of joy to their parents, relatives, friends, and shoppers of Ever Malls,” said Chie Arao-Santos, Ever Group of Companies Corporate Marketing Head.
Santos, who was also part of the judging panel, was very impressed with the level of talent shown by this year’s batch of contestants.
Eventually, it was Althea and Angelo who reigned supreme, impressing not only the judges but also the mallgoers. The two grand winners were each given P350,000 worth of prizes including cash and gift certificates, one year supply of Mogu Mogu and Ceelin products, Senior High School scholarship from the Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts Science and Technology, singing workshop from Artist League, and a trip to Hong Kong for their families.
“We are pleased to produce a platform where kids can find and start their big break. Finding young talents is not only the goal of this event but also to provide new experiences and inspire young minds to explore their talents and hone them in its early stages,” said Santos.

For 16 years, the Ever Kiddie Stars has established a name in being a leading platform for discovering youngsters with “artista” potential.
