NOT long ago, comedienne Beverly Salviejo and actor-singer Lance Raymundo brought cheers to some 30 former street children, now little scholars, at Bale Anghel, a haven for former scavengers and street kids in Angeles City where they are engaged in learning activities.
Former Miss World Philippines’ First Princess Arienne Louise Braga Calingo, the guest of honor, gave inspirational talk to the kids and enjoyed participating in the games (Trip to Jerusalem and Stop Dance) with them.
The one-hour program started with a prayer by Christian Goma, and opening remarks from Bale Anghel’s administrator Bong Dungca.

Cancer-survivor and violinist Emil John Olisco performed a musical number.
Also in attendance were singer-guitarist Mardy Cayanan, emcees Jade Orona and Manu Valdes (nephew of actor Shintaro Valdes), Ram Ilustre, Rappler’s Wenri de Guzman, Rotary Club member Jong Villanueva, and Mico Malen Mostoles.
After the program, the kids enjoyed the refreshments, courtesy of singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan.
