Former F.ABLE member Shim Jaehyun, known professionally as Jaehyun, has died at the age of 23 after a private battle with leukemia.
Funeral services were held that same day with his family and former group members in attendance.
Jaehyun debuted with the five-member group F.ABLE in June 2020 under Haeirum Entertainment. The group quietly disbanded in 2023 as activities slowed and some members formed a new act called ENPHAZE.
In an emotional Instagram tribute, former bandmate Hojun expressed regret over not being there at Jaehyun’s bedside or funeral. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t see you off on your final journey… I hope you can shake off all your worries and rest in peace,” he wrote.
While F.ABLE never achieved mainstream commercial success, the group is remembered fondly by a dedicated fanbase, and Jaehyun was praised for his calm presence and heartfelt performances in songs like “Run Run Run” and “Burn It Up.”
