Maymay Entrata is mourning the passing of her mother, Lorna, who died in Japan after a two-year battle with cancer.
The 28-year-old actress and singer paid tribute on Instagram with a video of her and her mother walking together.
“Mahal kong Inay, Isang malaking karangalan na ikaw ang naging Inay ko,” Maymay wrote.
“Matapang mong hinarap ang lahat ng pagsubok at sakripisyo para maitaguyod kaming buong pamilya.”
Maymay was raised in Cagayan de Oro while her mother worked abroad. In 2018, the two reunited after many years living apart, which moved many fans.
The actress has often spoken about the sacrifices her mother made for their family and how those shaped her own journey.
Maymay, who rose to fame after winning “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2017, has since built a career in acting, music, and modeling.
