Nick Vera Perez kicks off tour for OPM album

Filipino-American singer Nick Vera Perez has launched a nationwide tour to promote his fourth original OPM album, Parte Ng Buhay Ko, originally released online in 2022.

The nine-track album was written by composer Adonis Tabanda and features songs about love, pain and healing, including “Biyaya,” “Paghilom ng Sugat,” “Titig,” “Kalendaryo,” and the title track.

Perez has lined up appearances on radio, TV, malls, and outreach programs as part of his promotional efforts, including performances on NET25’s EAT Connect Na and Letters & Music, Eagle FM 95.5’s John Lemon On Air, and the WISH 107.5 Bus.

He will also join charity events, including a visit to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on May 15 for Smile World’s outreach program.

“She’s been my rock,” Perez said of his mother, Visitacion Tan, who will join him at a Mother’s Day event in Zamboanga on May 11. “After all this hard work, she deserves a vacation, and I can’t wait to finally give her that.”

In a press conference last weekend, Perez said he hopes to collaborate with Martin Nievera, calling the singer a major influence.

“A collaboration with him would be a dream come true,” he said.

He also paid tribute to the late National Artist Nora Aunor, saying, “Her legacy will live on in our hearts. It’s heartbreaking that I never got the chance to share the stage with her.”

Perez is preparing to release his fifth studio album, Unafraid, a gospel record due this year, and has started work on a sixth album, described as a dance-themed collection.

Perez will be joined on tour by fellow performers Evelyn O. Francia and Hannah Shayne.
