Mateo posted photos on Instagram over the weekend, showing swelling and discoloration around her right eye and cheek.
Despite the injuries, she remained in good spirits, writing, “Still, life is good.”
The beauty queen and actress didn’t go into detail about how the accident happened, but the photos drew concern from fans and fellow celebrities, who were quick to send messages of support.
