Alexie Brooks vies for Miss Eco International 2025 crown

After Miss Universe Asia 2024 Chelsea Manalo, another Black Filipina is representing the Philippines on the global stage. Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks, born in Lebanon to a Black American father and a Filipina overseas worker from Iloilo, will compete in Miss Eco International 2025, to be held in Alexandria, Egypt, in April.

Brooks, a 24-year-old model, athlete, and graduate in Business Administration, was named Miss Eco Philippines 2025 during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant where she finished in the Top 10. A former UAAP MVP, she was a member of the track and field national team (heptathlon) to the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Vietnam.

Brooks looked confident in a bare midriff Filipiniana when she met with members of the press and well-wishers, led by Miss Supranational Philippines 2025 Tarah Valencia, during a sendoff held at the Empire Studios in BGC Taguig on Monday. Brooks is expected to make her countrymen proud in her coming competition with her killer body, strong stage presence, amazing catwalk, and communication skills.

“The flag is on my back, and the fire is in my heart. I am ready to take flight. With every step I take on Egyptian soil, I will carry the strength of a resilient nation, the pride of our islands, and the fire of a Filipina heart that never gives up,” said Brooks, who succeeded Chantal Elise Schmidt, first runner-up in Miss Eco International 2024 won by Angelina Usanova of Ukraine.

This journey is not just about winning a crown — it’s about raising our flag, echoing our voices, and proving that the Philippines is a force of beauty, purpose, and power,” she added.
