As the Pinoy Big Brother house opened its doors once again for a new batch of housemates, Gen 11 Big Winner Sofia “Fyang” Smith has one key piece of advice for the current housemates: stay true to yourself.
“My tips for them, I guess, are not to be afraid to show who they are because that’s where they will be loved by people,” the young star shared, emphasizing the importance of authenticity inside the Big Brother house.
The 18-year-old, who rose to fame after her PBB victory, also expressed her willingness to return as a guest housemate if given the chance.
“I would agree [if invited],” she said.
Fyang’s journey in the limelight has been accompanied by an unexpected internet craze, as fans constantly asked “Nasaan si Fyang?” whenever she was absent from public appearances alongside her fellow PBB alumni Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, and Kai Montinola.
The phrase gained so much traction that it even popped up in unrelated events and social media posts.
Despite only being in showbiz for less than a year, Fyang said she is slowly adjusting to fame.
“I’m slowly getting used to it. It’s been a long time since I left the Pinoy Big Brother house. Up until now, the supporters have been very overwhelming,” she shared.
Now stepping into a new chapter of her career—with endorsement deals and performances lined up—Fyang has fully embraced her viral status. During a sideline interview for her new endorsement with Mang Inasal, she acknowledged the online obsession with her whereabouts.
“I’m happy that they’re looking for me. But now, I’m here. I’m here at MOA, performing. So I hope they’re also out there,” she quipped.
