Actress Rhen Escaño recently renewed her contract as the ambassador of CC6 Online Casino & FunBingo. During the contract signing, Rhen was asked if she had ever faced any criticism since signing as an endorser of the online casino, to which she answered, “Never.”
At a press conference on Jan. 31, Friday, the actress also took the opportunity to clarify her position on online gaming and address concerns and misconceptions regarding her role as an ambassador for an online casino.
“I’m not saying that there’s nothing wrong with online gaming. Those are not the first words you’ll hear from me,” she explained, asserting that her endorsement does not mean promoting unhealthy gambling habits.
She then emphasized that gaming should remain a fun and stress-relieving activity.
“I always say it’s fine, but there’s a point where it becomes a problem if you’re no longer content. Learn how to stop. This should be for fun; it should help take the stress away from us, especially when we’re feeling overwhelmed with work,” she stated.
She further added that online gaming should not cause more stress but rather serve as a temporary escape.
As an advocate for responsible gaming, the Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa star emphasized that her role as a casino game endorser does not encourage irresponsible gaming behavior.
“I will not be the cause of someone’s downfall just because I am endorsing a casino game,” she said, emphasizing that her advocacy remains rooted in positive and meaningful causes.
Rhen expressed that renewing her contract with CC6 Online Casino & FunBingo was a significant milestone for her as she welcomes the year 2025. She views this opportunity as a blessing, especially since the brand supports charitable initiatives through its slogan, “Gaming with a Heart.”
While the gaming platform provides entertainment, CC6 Online Casino and FunBingo are also dedicated to giving back to the community. Rhen noted that the company took part in charitable activities, distributing groceries to victims of landslides and floods in Davao del Norte and Marikina, and organizing feeding programs in Makati, Cavite, and Manila.
Additionally, the company has supported children with disabilities, enhancing their daily lives, and has assisted Aeta students in Bataan in continuing their education. They have also undertaken tree-planting activities in Rizal and Antipolo, promoting environmental protection.
Perhaps one of the most memorable moments for her was her visit to an Aeta community, where she witnessed the kindness and selflessness of children.
“There was a child there who I saw had the food we gave just sitting on the armchair. We asked why he wasn’t eating the food. It was weird; he wasn’t eating it. Then he said, ‘I’ll just take it home to give to my brother and my mom.’ That really touched me,” she shared.
This encounter made her even more passionate about her advocacy and the reasons she accepted the endorsement. Rhen’s connection with these communities has become a source of joy and inspiration.
“Every Sunday, every weekend I look forward to going to a certain area, and I always choose places with a lot of kids because even though the journey is long and tiring, my stress in life disappears as soon as we get there,” she said.
The partnership between CC6 and FunBingo, both certified by PAGCOR, celebrated its 7th anniversary on Feb. 2.
