Arnell Ignacio is making his stage comeback in a concert that began as a playful suggestion from his close friend, former actress Liz Alindogan. Despite his demanding role as an administrator at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Ignacio agreed to join the show titled Timeless… Music & Laughter after some gentle persuasion.
In an interview with Manila Standard Entertainment, Alindogan, who also produces the concert, shared her confidence in Ignacio’s ability to balance his commitments.
“He didn’t really have much of a choice when I brought up the concert,” she admitted. “Everything was already planned, and I knew he wouldn’t say no. He’s great at multitasking, and I trust him completely.”
For Ignacio, this concert brings him back to his roots.
“Showbiz and music are very close to my heart,” he said. “Whenever opportunities like this arise, I take them as a way to thank those who support me and to spread joy.”

Before his career as a television host, Ignacio was known for his live performances. He even released an album in 1998.
During the concert planning, Ignacio began considering what he missed about performing.
“I miss the instant appreciation from the audience and the adrenaline rush of being on stage. There’s this unique energy that drives you to give your best,” he said.
He also spoke about the camaraderie behind the scenes, describing it as one of the most rewarding aspects of showbiz.
“The bond with people backstage makes the work enjoyable. When the director gives the cue, it’s a thrill to transform into a performer—it’s a feeling like no other,” he said.
The event, scheduled for Feb. 15 at the Century Park Hotel Grand Ballroom in Manila, is billed as a post-Valentine celebration. The New Minstrels 5th Generation will lead the performances, joined by crooner Chad Borja, singer Alynna, and Attorney Rene Puno of the original New Minstrels. Other acts include The K Gang, Fumi, Bernie Batin, Leo Bruno, Janna Trias, and Christi.
Tickets for the event are priced at P10,000 for gold, P7,500 for silver, and P5,000 for bronze, inclusive of a full-course dinner. Table packages are also available.
