Reigning Miss Supranational, Mr. International grace inaugural ‘Filipino Festival’

Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera and Mr. International 2023 Kimberley Thitisan Goodburn got a taste of Filipino hospitality when they flew into town to grace The Filipino Festival Finals of The Miss Philippines and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageants.

Engaging, cheerful, and stunning in a high-slit, aqua dress, the 23-year-old Aguilera, a model from Ventanas, Ecuador, impressed select members of the media during a meet-and-greet affair. “I am so surprised and shaky. This is the best welcome I have ever received. I’m lost for words,” a visibly elated Aguilera said while accepting a unique token (from this writer).

Winning the title was a proud moment, and she encourages others never to abandon their dreams but to persevere through challenges. Her career in international business mirrors her aspirations.

Working with the Sasakawa Health Foundation, Hansen’s Disease Initiative, her mission involves sharing knowledge, eliminating discrimination, and fostering collaborative efforts to achieve a leprosy-free world. She deeply appreciates the unwavering support and love from Filipino pageant fans since her arrival, further fueling her advocacy.

Goodburn, on the other hand, expressed his elation at the life-changing opportunity. Winning the title and becoming the first Thai male pageant champion filled him with immense pride. He was invited as a special guest at the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide finals.

A 24-year-old Thai-British actor, model, and Rugby player, Goodburn holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Mahidol University, Thailand.

The Miss Philippines and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide finals, part of “The Filipino Festival” by the Miss Universe Philippines organization, marked a successful debut at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City.

Hosted by prominent personalities, the event celebrated Filipino culture and beauty.

The Miss Philippines Finals took a unique approach by excluding the swimsuit segment. Instead, the Final Four candidates answered a crucial question about the true Filipino identity and how they intended to promote it globally.

Alethea Ambrosio of Bulacan was crowned Miss Philippines, succeeding Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up. Brandon Espiritu of Guam became the new Mister Philippines, following Johannes Rissler, Mister Supranational Philippines 2023. The other finalists will represent the Philippines in various international pageants, adding to the nation’s pride.
