Legendary South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation finally released the long-awaited date for their comeback along with a motion teaser at 11 PM (PST), July 24, through their official social media accounts.

Their 7th full-length album, Forever 1, will be available on August 8, three days after their 15th anniversary as a group.

The album will include ten tracks, and pre-order starts today, July 25.

It has been five years since the eight girls worked together for their fans to release a new album and music video. Their fans have expressed excitement since the first announcement of their highly-anticipated comeback in May.

Their last full-length album as a group, Holiday Night, was released in 2017. Soon after, three group members, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun, left SM Entertainment to pursue their solo careers as singers and actresses in their respective new agencies.

The five members who left the company formed the group’s second sub-unit, Oh!GG released a single titled “Lil’ Touch” in 2018.

Since then, the group members have focused on their solo careers, which ignited their fans’ need for their content as a group.

Before the teaser, Girls’ Generation joined as a team in their variety program Soshi Tamtam, which first aired on July 5 with their local network jTBC, and plans to appear on other TV shows as part of their promotion for their upcoming comeback.
