Before its much-anticipated premiere in August, Radio telecaster and TV personality, KaladKaren joined makeup transformation queen Paolo Ballesteros and former season four Drag Race contender Jiggly Caliente as one of the prominent judges of Drag Race Phillippines 2022. The show’s official Instagram page announced by posting its poster with the three lead judges.
KaladKaren, first known for her viral impersonation of her “look-alike” journalist Karen Davila, officially becomes one of the show’s first-ever panel judges for the debut season of the first Filipino drag reality competition in the Philippines.
WOW Presents Plus, an official drag streaming service, will air the spin-off of the popular TV reality show in August, with 12 contestants competing for the first Drag Race crown. Known for its various challenges, Drag Race Philippines has also announced that guest judges will soon join the show to help find the first “Filipino Drag Race Queen.”
With episodes set to drop every Wednesday, alongside WOW Presents Plus, the show will be available on other streaming platforms, including Discovery+ and HBO Go.
Drag Race Philippines is the first Filipino spin-off series of the hit reality TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race and the second in Asia, following its Thai version, Drag Race Thailand, in 2018. The show is under the production of Fullhouse Asia Production Studios, Inc., with World of Wonder Productions Inc., RuPaul Charles, Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey, and Tom Campbell.
