Ogie Alcasid’s ATeam Management has recently welcomed Ian Veneracion into its stable of stars. The two made it official via a hybrid event where they talked about how the partnership started and what projects they have in the pipeline.

Ogie and Ian had collaborated a few times before they decided to take their partnership to a different level. They shared the stage in Kilabotitos and ATeam produced one of Ian’s concerts that happened before the pandemic.

Now, Ian plans to focus more on his singing career. Ogie, on the hand, wants to give Ian all the creative freedom for the latter to realize his plans while giving him all the support that he may be needing along the way.

Speaking to Manila Standard Entertainment, the duo said that “it was a natural process” for them.

“Para kaming nagliligawan and we thought that it’s about time to put a label on our partnership,” Ogie said in jest.

“I think It’s good that he feels comfortable, and it’s good that he also wanted to formalize our partnership. There was a point na nag-aantayan kame, I mean we’re comfortable just working together or working on what he wanted to do. So, when he initiated the talks, I realized that it’s time that we put a label on this partnership,” he explained.

Ian, who is celebrating his 40th year in the business, plans to explore his career as a musician, and with the help of Ogie, he’s excited to take his music to different territories where Filipinos crave more OPM performances and shows.

“I am very grateful to ATeam for their support in all aspects of my career. I would hope that Tito Ogie and me, us Kilabotitos, to visit our compatriots in the Middle East, in Europe,” he said, alluding to the concert they had in 2021.

“As an artist, you have so many ideas but sometimes there are limitations that prevent you from making things happen. Now it makes my job so much easier because I can concentrate on the ideas that I have. I see so much potential in our partnership since they give me so much freedom to execute my plans,” he added.

Ian believes that it’s such a big help for any artist that they have a management that can help them hone their craft and see the creative possibilities.

As ATeam’s newest member, Ian shared that he is set to star in a new action series that will be available on Netflix. He also released a new single, “Ninuno” with A Team’s assistance.

“The song is also a call for action, it is dedicated to those that came before us, our ninuno, our ancestors. The song can be applicable to situations even today because its message revolves around a sense of honor, courage, and respect for others,” Ian explained.

The single, he further said, is also about our need to go back to our roots.

“So, it’s like reminding and sending questions to myself, mula sa mga ninuno natin—I think we come from a bloodline of warriors—paano tayo nag-progress, ano ba talaga nangyayari, you know, it throws a lot of questions there,” ended.
