In the last few days of 2021, GMA-7’s reality talent competition The Clash named its winners after a riveting performance from its contestants in the fourth season. Mariane Osabel, dubbed “The Ultimate Siren ng Iligan,” bagged the coveted title of grand champion with an unwavering execution of “Bakit Mahal Pa Rin Kita.”

Among the rewards that Mariane received was an exclusive management contract with GMA-7, which came to fruition this month as the “certified contesera” signed a contract with GMA Music, making her an official member of the network’s music subsidiary.

“Eto na talaga. Part na ako ng GMA Music and natupad na talaga pangarap ko. Kumbaga, secure na talaga,” she said during an online media conference.

She continued by saying that she feels blessed for the rare opportunity and grateful to the network for its trust in her talent.

Mariane was a fresh graduate before entering the reality singing contest. As she went on with her daily routine, she wanted to realize her childhood dream of becoming a recording artist.

Even though Mariane’s journey as an artist with GMA Music has just begun, she already has big plans for her future. Among them is landing the chance to perform alongside the versatile and talented Filipino singer Lani Misalucha.

The Clash grand winner also shared how grateful she is for the support from her family and her loyal fanbase, who encouraged her every step of the way. To show her thanks to the people of Iligan, Mariane hopes to hold her first concert in her hometown and, eventually, in Araneta to cater to her fanbase in the metro.

Meanwhile, The Clash Season 4 runner-up Vilmark Viray also received an offer for a contract with GMA Music, much to his excitement and surprise.

“Hanggang ngayon ‘di ako makapaniwala. Sobrang overwhelmed talaga nararamdaman ko kasi wala sa plano and hindi ko ineexpect na mangyayari lahat ng ‘to,” Vilmark said.

Unknown to many, Vilmark works as a full-time engineer. Before he entered The Clash, he focused his efforts on his career in the industry.

Although Mark landed a contract with GMA Music, he has no immediate plans to relinquish his career as an engineer. However, if he comes to the point where he has to choose between the two, he’ll decide then.

As a Pampanga native, Vilmark hopes to hold his first concert at the Philippine Arena to accommodate more fans and audiences from the provinces and the metro.

However, the life of a recording artist is no easy task. Yet Vilmark doesn’t feel worried about a hectic schedule or getting tired from the process. Instead, he feels excited at the prospect of traveling around the Philippines and, someday, the world as he shares his talent.

Vilmark added that it’s these experiences, among other things, that motivate him to enjoy his career as a singer.

Both Mariane and Vilmark have a bright future ahead of them, and their contract with GMA Music serves as the stepping stone toward greater heights in their respective careers.
