February indeed is the season of love. Just a day away from Valentine’s Day, Kapamilya star Vice Ganda finally confirmed speculations about his relationship with long-time partner Ion Perez.
Although the couple is reportedly married since late last year, the comedian-host posted a 14-minute long video on his YouTube channel to give fans a glimpse of what happened during the couple’s trip to Las Vegas.
Per the video’s art card, their intimate ceremony happened on Oct. 19, 2021, at the Little Vegas Chapel.
The video opens with a scene in the couple’s hotel room. As the camera slowly captures a peek of Vice and Ion’s clothes and rings for the special day, the scene shifts to the curtains opening with the Las Vegas skyline in view.
Vice then comments on what a beautiful day it is as Ion comes into view with the comedian-host. Both couldn’t seem to contain their excitement for the big day as smiles lit up their faces, and they showered each other with affection.
Eventually, the couple showed how they prepared for their special day. Ion wore white long sleeves with a pair of ripped jeans while Vice wore a simple, white long-sleeved dress.
After several quick shots of their preparation phase, Vice and Ion exited their hotel to ride a chauffeured limousine towards their chapel.
Along the way, they both shared hearty conversations.
For their vows, Ion began by saying, “Nandito ako na buong-buo ‘yung loob ko na makasama ka. Wala akong ibang masabi kundi mahal na mahal kita.”
To which Vice replied his happiness to share this relevant moment with Ion, along with other events in their lives. He added that one of his constant prayers is to have Ion beside him today, tomorrow, and always.
Vice then continues to profess his deep love for Ion as he completes his vows. Unlike usual vows, Vice also promises to love and care for himself to keep Ion from worrying too much about him.
“Mag-iipon pa akong maraming, maraming, maraming pagmamahal sa puso ko para makaya ko pang mahalin ang sarili ko at para makaya ko pang mahalin ka—pati yung mga mga mahal natin sa buhay,” he said.
One of the lines from Vice’s vow that made people’s hearts aflutter is when the comedian-host said “Sa lahat ng gagawin ko sa buhay ko, isa ka sa magiging inspirasyon ko. You will be one of the best reasons for all of my achievements. And I promise, na isa ka sa magiging dahilan kung bakit gusto ko pang mabuhay ulit bukas at sa mga susunod na araw.”
After their vows, the couple exchanged wedding rings and happily sealed the deal to their happily ever after.
Love indeed wins every time. As the couple embarks on this new journey in their lives, both their colleagues and fans went on social media to congratulate and wish the couple well, even though it’s been almost four months since they wed.
Vice and Ion first confirmed their relationship in 2019 and have kept fans updated through vlogs on their YouTube channel.
