The iconic rock band Journey, featuring the Philippines favorite son, Arnel Pineda, will perform Feb. 17, at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

Tickets to the show are now on sale through SM Ticket Outlets or www.smtickets.com.

On the heels of being inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Journey returns to Manila for the first time since 2009. This concert will be with original members Neal Schon (lead guitarist) and Ross Valory (bass guitarist); Jonathan Cain (keyboardist), Steve Smith (drummer) and Arnel Pineda (lead vocalist). Steve Smith returned to the band last year, playing with the group for the first time since1998.

“This is a special concert for many reasons,” Pineda said. “ I’m so excited to perform again for my fellow Pinoys. It’s very special to me.” The show will be recorded for possible Pay-Per-View and VR.

Iconic American rock band Journey with frontman Arnel Pineda will once again stage “Don’t Stop Believing” concert in February

In 2007, Neal Schon discovered Pineda singing Journey covers on YouTube and that launched Pineda’s career as the new lead singer of the band. Since that time, Journey has created two new albums, toured four continents and performed for nearly four million fans, earning the group Billboard’s prestigious “Legend of Live Award.” They’ve also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Journey is one of the most popular rock bands of all time. They have sold over 80 million albums worldwide, earning 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums.

They are also responsible for creating some of the most familiar sounds and lyrics in modern music history, with iconic hits such as “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’,” “Faithfully,” “Lights,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Stone In Love,”  “Who’s Crying Now,” “Wheel In The Sky,” “Open Arms,”  “Separate Ways,” “Only the Young,” “Be Good to Yourself,” and the top selling digital catalog track in history,  “Don’t Stop Believin’.” VH1 named JOURNEY one of the top 100 artists of all time.  Their Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times-Platinum, bringing Journey into the elite club of Diamond-certified holders.

The Journey concert on Feb.17 is part of an Asian tour that also stops in Japan, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, S. Korea and Taiwan.
