AFTER a triumphant 2014, Alden Richards looks forward to a brighter new year, hoping to carry over said success to the coming days.

“I’m really thankful to GMA for taking good care of me,” he says. “The previous year proved to be a good one for me. Projects and exposure-wise, I couldn’t ask for more. In fact, I’m flattered every time people refer to me as the Kapuso Prime Time Prince. I vow to continue turning in my best work for all those whose belief in me never falters.

projects and challenges in 2015

“I just wish that better things await me this 2015: more projects, endorsements. Actually, there are already some that are being negotiated at present. My camp is continuously meeting with different production outfits. I pray that all these push through. As far as I know, I will do a movie during the first quarter and a soap opera on the following. I’m simply excited as early as now!”

Asked if he has a New Year’s Resolution, the be-dimpled lad reveals, “I wish I’ll be more hard working and focused on fulfilling my cherished goals in life especially those pertaining to my career. I also wish that our bond as a family gets even stronger and would always remain happy. Of course, I wish for good health, long life and yes…love life (laughs)!”

Speaking of love, the handsome star admits he is inspired by the recent marriage of fellow Kapuso talents Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. It can be remembered that he was paired with the latter in the hit soap Carmela.

“Oh yes! Imagine, they’ve been together for seven long years already. Their foundation is strong. What’s good about them is they’re not only a romantic couple, they’re friends as well. They are also each other’s adviser, sibling, critic…name it. It’s an all-in-one thing! Truly, they are lucky to have each other and I’m truly happy for them,” ends Alden.

Miguel Tanfelix doesn’t entertain the thought that he is GMA’s bet against the rival network’s Daniel Padilla.

“That puts a lot of pressure on me!” he states. “Daniel is way, way ahead and is very popular while I’m just inching my way in, so to speak. I’m grateful that the public rediscovered me in Niño and now gets my biggest break in Once upon a Kiss along Bianca Umali. We’re just a fresh tandem as compared to Daniel and Kathryn (Bernardo).”

In spite of this, the good-looking young star remains optimistic.

“What I can promise is that I’m ready and willing to do my best just to make my star shine even brighter. I know that competition is stiff. Now that I’m given the chance to prove my worth, I will not waste any single opportunity. I love this job and I will do everything to carve my niche’ in the industry!”

Many say that his loyalty with GMA has already paid off.

“Well, thank you for that observation. I can really say that I’ve been loyal with my mother studio all these years. Since StarStruck Kids, I’m already here. I’m grateful to the Kapuso for all the positive developments in my career of late. That’s why I’m giving it my best shot so as not to disappoint the management, the fans and everyone who believes in me,” says Miguel.
