FILIPINO fans of Star Wars will have to wait until this year’s holiday season to watch Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. In the meantime, fans will just have to content themselves wearing the latest Star Wars-inspired fashion garments by folded&hung.
In a galactic-themed show held recently, folded&hung ambassador Elmo Magalona, celebrity personalities Dani Barretto, Inah Estrada, Kaila Estrada, Stephanie Sol and Maggie Wilson, fashion bloggers Camille Co and David Guison, and Asia’s Next Top Model finalist Jodilly Pendre sashayed in street fashion wear featuring designs inspired by iconic Star Wars characters, scenes and recognizable references to the popular movie franchise. The collection, done in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, boasts major characters, like Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, R2d2, C3PO and more.
Also seen at the fashion event were actress Gladys Reyes-Roxas, and the mother- daughter team of Pia and Clara Magalona in support of Elmo.
folded&hung has been chosen by The Walt Disney Company as the Licensee of the Year, thus the Star Wars collection is only the first among many other collaborations to be unveiled soon.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens follows Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, continuing the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa. The lead stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher reprise their roles, respectively. Characters R2D2 and C3PO are also confirmed to be in the cast with J.J. Abrams on the directorial seat.
