Young people and professionals looking to embark on a global career in hospitality management no longer need to go to Europe to gain the education they need to unlock opportunities in international Hospitality Management. Dusit Hospitality Management College, set to open this August at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, offers aspiring hoteliers and restaurateurs world-class education following a fully-integrated approach.

Hotel Facade

DHMC brings together for the first time three of the most trusted names in the international hospitality and culinary education: Thailand-based Dusit International, Switzerland’s École hôtelière de Lausanne, and France’s Institut Paul Bocuse. With DHMC being fully integrated with dusitD2 the Fort, Manila, students have unique opportunities to gain relevant work experience in all the areas of the hotel operations and at different levels throughout their studies.

“It makes perfect sense for Dusit International to situate its first college outside Thailand in Manila. Filipinos are well known and respected in the global hospitality industry as hard working, creative, and dependable,” explains Lars Eltvik, DHMC and dusitD2 the Fort, Manila Managing Director.

DHMC’s unique hotel-college integration, the first and only in Southeast Asia, will allow students to have access and gain experience in first class hospitality and culinary facilities, including practical kitchens, five restaurants, function rooms, recreational facilities (swimming pool and fitness center), exquisitely appointed guest rooms and suites.

The DHMC curriculum follows the standards set by the country’s Commission on Higher Education. The bachelor degree program in hospitality management that DHMC is offering is certified by the world renowned École hôtelière de Lausanne. Throughout the program students gain work experience and exposure in the dusitD2 the Fort, Manila – and will also complete a six-month internship, which may be completed in the Philippines or abroad.

“Dusit Hospitality Education is proud to establish in Manila, and bring to the Philippines the very best of international education in hospitality and culinary arts. We will introduce programmes and pedagogy of the highest international standards. We are looking forward to contributing to more Filipinos embarking on international careers and excelling in the world’s fastest growing industry,” adds Eltvik.

DHMC’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management is certified by École hôtelière de Lausanne, while culinary and specialty programs for career switchers, carried out by its Professional Advancement Centre, will be offered in collaboration with Institut Paul Bocuse.

Training Restaurant

DHMC’s Professional Advancement Centre will offer a range of culinary courses of different duration, as well as courses for wine appreciation and barista training. The centre also offers courses in English to those aspiring to work abroad, with particular emphasis on gaining proficiency in the language of the hospitality and tourism industries.

The Executive Education programs are designed to hone one’s business skills and acumen to work in a wide range of areas within the hospitality industry while the Driving Hotel Revenues Course is designed for students to develop a solid understanding of the key concepts in strategic revenue management.

DHMC is delighted to offer generous merit-based scholarships of up to 50 percent of tuition fees for excellent students.
