Ceramic artist Rosa Mirasol Melencio-Quijano will open a solo exhibit entitled ILI: Mga Kwento ng Lupa, Bayan, at Tahanan on March 28, 2023 at the Sining Makiling Gallery in the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna.
The exhibit will run for a month until April 28, 2023 and will feature a collection of works by the artist, which include different styles of ceramics and clay sculpture.
The gallery is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Rosa Mirasol or “Maui” graduated from the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2015 where she majored in painting and sculpture.
After graduation, she pursued her passion in pottery and clay sculpture and opened an art studio called Ili Likhaan in Los Baños in 2018.
To further develop her craft, she experimented on various types of clay and attended local and international conferences and workshops.
She also shares her knowledge and skills by offering workshops to people who are interested.
