Now on its 37th year, the festival serves as thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest and rich culture – a celebration of life.

To officially celebrate the festival, Park Inn by Radisson Davao launched the Pinta Madayaw: A Kadayawan Art Exhibit in partnership with Group of Aspiring Mindanawon Artists (GAMA) and the hotel’s Kadayawan room and F&B promotions.

The event was graced by Davao City Vice Mayor Melchor Quitain, Deputy Mayor of the Bagobo – Tagabawa Tribe Bae Sheirelle Uy Anino, Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia Novita, and friends from the local art scene.

The exhibit aims to support local artists from GAMA and Pasudkaroy where 10 percent of the revenues from the sold art pieces will be used to purchase art materials for the children trained under Pasudkaroy.

Pasudkaroy is a non-profit group composed of visual artists who belong to the Indigenous Persons community. One of their biggest ambitions is to widen the knowledge of IPs in terms of visual arts.

Along with the exhibit, the hotel also launched its Kadayawan offerings that will be offered until the end of the month.
