A chilling trip

President Duterte doed have a way with words. It simply causes his critics and enemies to go really crazy.

A few months ago, he reaffirmed his leadership’s war against illegal drugs. He said it would be relentless and chilling.

Of course, relentless means no letup. It continues no matter what the opposition says.

Chilling is an adjective that really struck some nerves among the self-righteous “human rights advocates.” The word means horrifying or frightening.

And since they have a fertile imagination such as to create their own ghosts, Manong Digong’s words instantly have a chilling effect on them.

And then again, Manong Digong yesterday vowed that the government’s war against illegal drugs will be “harsher in the days to come.”

In other words, the anti-drugs campaign will be ruthless, merciless and pitiless.

And, we already know where he’s coming from. We’ve heard it many times before.

“I will not allow my country to be destroyed by drugs. I will not allow my country to end up a failed state because of drugs. And I am declaring war and I said I will kill anybody who stands in the way,” he has said time and again.

He also threatens to kill those responsible for smuggling of illegal drugs into the country.

“And also for those guys who keep on with their business of importing—be they Mexicans or Chinese or Filipino. If you continue to feed our children with drugs, there’s no way that… talagang maaabutan ko kayo at papatayin ko kayo,” he said.

This means the “Batasan Express Bus” will be boarding soon for special trips to hell.

The “Batasan Express Bus” is a make-believe transit among Quezon City cops  and the media to describe the horrible ending of those drug dealers or criminals who chose to allegedly shoot it out with the authorities rather than surrender.

Immediately following these pronouncements, the President added he is now convinced more than ever that this businessman Peter Lim engaged in massive illegal drugs activities.

His message to Lim: “Peter Lim if I were you I will commit suicide. Never ever surrender to me alive.”

Peter Lim must have gotten the message by now, and knows it’s going to be a chilling trip on board “Batasan Express Bus” if he does not heed Manong Digong’s advice.

So for those who continue to make their living in illegal drug trade, and even those involve in criminal activities…may God have mercy on your souls.
