Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast aims to alleviate early depreciation for their vehicles by launching their Residual Value Guarantee (RVG) Program in the country.
The RVG Program, which began this month, sets a fixed annual depreciation schedule for guaranteed residual values, offering a guaranteed vehicle value of up to 90 percent of the original price.
Under the policy, the maximum guaranteed residual values are as follows:
- After six months: 90 percent of the original price.
- After one year: 86 percent of the original price.
- After two years: 78 percent of the original price.
- After three years: 70 percent of the original price.
The guarantee applies to VinFast’s entire product lineup in the Philippines, from the VF 3 to the VF 9, and is available to new customers. The vehicle must be inspected and confirmed to meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify for the residual value guarantee.
Antonio Zara, CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia: “With a residual value guarantee of up to 90% of the vehicle’s list price, VinFast aims to make EV ownership more accessible and reassuring for Filipino consumers.” The RVG Program is the latest in a series of customer-centric solutions implemented by VinFast in the Philippine market. Earlier initiatives include an extended vehicle warranty of up to 10 years, three years of free charging at stations operated by strategic partner V-Green, flexible financing options, and 24-hour technical support and roadside assistance.
After more than a year in the local market, VinFast has been steadily strengthening its presence with a diverse EV portfolio and growing its service network. The company is expanding its distribution and service network in key locations and collaborating with local partners to operate a nationwide network of maintenance service centers.
