South Korean actress Oh In Hye, known to her Filipino fans for her roles in "The Plan," "Wish Taxi," and "No Breathing", passed away Tuesday after an apparent suicide. She was 36.

Her passing continued a trend from last year, when two beloved Korean female stars, Sulli and Goo Hara, ended their own lives in two months, exposing the painful side of being a K-pop idol.

Quoting the Incheon Yeonsu Police Station and Incheon Songdo Fire Station, K-pop news website Soompi said Oh “was found in a state of cardiac arrest at her home in Songdo International Business District, Incheon” early Monday morning.

Emergency procedures were immediately performed on her before she was taken to a proximate hospital. But citing another report from news outlet OSEN, Soompi said Oh In Hye “did not regain consciousness following cardiac arrest.”

Oh began her acting career in the film “Sin of the Family” in 2011.

She starred in other projects such as “Red Vacance Black Wedding,” “No Breathing” and “The Plan” among others.

Citing an exclusive report from Dispatch, the K-pop culture website AllKpop said: "She was showing signs of recovery, however, did not wake up in the end."

Authorities revealed that around 5 a.m. on Monday, the actress was found lifeless at her home in Songdo International Business District in Incheon.

While Soompi's report cited a police source that said a friend of Oh called the police station because they could not reach the actress, Allkpop said a friend actually found her and reported it.

There was a suspicion of a suicide attempt, the source added to Allkpop, but Koreaboo on Tuesday ran a report stating the actress did commit suicide.
