The state weather bureau on Thursday reported that heavy rainfall is expected across several regions due to the ongoing effects of shear line and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
Moderate to heavy rains today are expected to affect Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
On Friday, Cagayan will experience heavy to intense rainfall ranging from 100-200 mm, while areas including Apayao, Isabela, Southern Leyte, and others will see moderate to heavy rain.
On Saturday, similar rainfall patterns are forecasted for Cagayan, Isabela, and other regions.
Pagasa warns that rainfall may be higher in mountainous areas and that prior significant rain could worsen conditions.
LGUs are urged to take precautions to safeguard lives and property.
