Heavy to intense rains will prevail over Quezon due to the effects of shear line, the state weather bureau said on Monday.
According to a 5 a.m. weather advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to affect Isabela, Aurora, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Palawan, and Laguna.
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall,” it warned.
The Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division (PRSD), meanwhile, reported that the whole Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of shear line.
“Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will experience moderate winds from the Southeast to Northeast with moderate seas,” the announcement continued.
No Low Pressure Areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation and no gale warning is raised over the entire country.
