Wind signals lifted as ‘Pepito’ exits Philippines

Moving west-northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour (kph), Pepito’s center was last estimated 405 kilometers west-northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur outside the PAR.

The storm now has maximum sustained winds of 110 kph and gustiness up to 135 kph.

“Pepito will continue to weaken as it moves over the West Philippine Sea due to the incoming northeasterly wind surge creating unfavorable environment,” PAGASA reported.
