Rody’s blind item: Prexy bet drug user

President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday claimed a presidential candidate is a cocaine user.

“There is even a presidential candidate who does cocaine,” he said without naming the presidential aspirant in his speech during an event of the government's anti-insurgency task force in Occidental Mindoro.

He said some candidates who are “children of the rich” are using illegal drugs.

“I am really puzzled. What has this candidate accomplished? I'm just asking: What contribution has he made for the Philippines?” the President said.

“Why are Filipinos fooled into supporting? I will just ask you, what has he done? He uses cocaine.”

“What you want is up to you. That is on you. It's just that when time comes, I already told you: His character is that of a very weak leader, except for the name. His father—but him, what has he done?

He might win hands down, okay. If that is what the Philippines wants, go ahead, just as long as you know,” the President added.

Duterte is supporting the presidential candidacy of his long-time aide and friend, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.

He has likewise rallied support for the vice presidential bid of his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who is running in tandem with former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
