NGCP: Power outage in parts of Metro Manila, 5 other provinces

National Grid Corp. of the Philippines implemented Manual Load Dropping (MLD) or power outage in the following areas today to maintain the integrity of the power system.

The MLD was implemented at 1pm to 2pm the following areas:

ISELCO I (parts of Isabela) 

QUIRELCO (entire province of Quirino) 

OEDC (Olongapo City)  

QUEZELCO I (parts of Quezon)

CASURECO II (parts of Camarines Sur)

MERALCO (parts of Metro Manila)

NGCP said schedule may be cancelled if system condition improves, such as if actual demand falls below projections. 

NGCP encourages everyone to exercise prudence in using electricity.
