PAGASA: Ambo maintains its strength and is now over the coastal waters of Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur

Tropical Storm"Ambo": Warning issued at issued at 08:00 am, 16 May 2020

 

Heavy Rainfall Outlook:

  1. Today: Moderate to heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the northern portions of Aurora and Zambales.
  2. Tomorrow (17 May): Moderate to heavy rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
  3. Residents in these areas are advised to take appropriate measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the local rainfall or thunderstorm advisories and heavy rainfall warnings from PAGASA Regional Services Divisions (PRSD). Flooding and rain-induced landslides may occur in highly to very highly susceptible areas during heavy or prolonged rainfall.

Coastal Water Conditions:

  1. Sea travel is risky for all types of seacrafts over the seaboards of areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals #2 and #1 and the east coast of Quezon including Polillo Islands.
