Tingog Party-List, which bats for the welfare of Eastern Visayas residents, landed in third place in the party-list race as of Tuesday with 98.09 percent of election returns processed.

Represented by Rep. Yedda Kittilsvedt-Romualdez—wife of House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez—in the current Congress, Tingog is guaranteed at least two seats in the House of Representatives by garnering 871,541 votes as of last night.

ACT-CIS, which advocates anti-crime policies and is backed by broadcaster Erwin Tulfo, is leading the count with 2.07 million votes—enough to ensure three seats. This is the second time the group has topped the party-list race.

1-Rider party-list, a commuter rights group, came in second with 988,790 votes, followed by Tingog.
Parties that win at least two percent of the national vote are given one seat, with additional seats determined by a formula dependent on the number of votes garnered.

However, the maximum number of seats that can be given to a party is three.
Other party-list groups that are poised to get two seats each are 4PS, Ako Bicol, and Sagip.

“If we were able to help a lot in 2016, we will double our efforts in the coming months,” Tulfo said for ACT-CIS.
“Thank you for the trust. We will surpass our accomplishments in the past three years,” he added.
