MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared July 2, 2019 as a special non-working day in Pasig City as part of the city's 146th anniversary celebration.

According to Proclamation No. 758, signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, in behalf of President Rodrigo Duterte, July 2 has been declared as a special holiday tomorrow.

"It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Pasig be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the declaration states.

Activities for Pasigueños are expected to be conducted tomorrow as part of the celebration.

It will also be the first Araw ng Pasig celebration of the newly-elected Mayor Vico Sotto. Sotto was elected last May 13 midterm election which ended the Eusebio era.
