The names are “Abe,” “Berto,” “Charo,” “Dado,” “Estoy,” “Felion,” “Gening,” “Herman,” “Irma” and “Jaime.”

There are four sets of PAGASA names being recycled every four years.

This year’s code names will also be used in 2023, 2027 and 2031.

A name could be decommissioned if the tropical cyclone has caused 300 deaths and P1 billion worth of damage to agriculture and infrastructure.

It can also be dropped if it is closely associated with a prominent personality.
