House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo expressed hope on Christmas Eve that the Filipino people would be inspired to be of service to the others as they celebrate the birth anniversary of the Messiah in the Christian calendar.
“May the spirit of the Christmas lift our desire to be of service to others,” she said in a brief message.
The former President—2001 to 2010—also wished the Christmas spirit would usher in unity, love, and joy among the 106 million predominantly Christan people.
“Let the holidays fill your home with love and joy. Have a blessed and meaningful Christmas,” Arroyo said.
