Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija—A parish priest here was shot dead Sunday afternoon before celebrating mass inside a chapel in Barangay Mayamot here, police reported.
Senior Superintendent Eliseo Tanding, Nueva Ecija police director identified the victim as Fr. Richmond Nilo of Diocese of Cabanatuan.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies that caused his instant death.
The investigation disclosed that the shooting took place at 5:00 pm yesterday, while he was officiating mass in the chapel of Barangay Mayamot here when the suspects shoot.
The suspect fled after the shooting to unknown direction.

Nilo was the former president of the College of Immaculate Conception in Cabanatuan City.
Nilo was the third priest who was killed in a span of six months.
