President Rodrigo Duterte said Thursday he was willing to open his bank accounts to the members of the anti-corruption body but not to opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Trillanes, one of Duterte’s staunchest critics, claims that he amassed more than ₱200 million in ill-gotten wealth, but Duterte denied him and said his bank account would not hold more than P40 million

“You want to know my bank accounts? I’ll give them to you right now. I am not kidding; just write me,” Duterte told the members of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission at their oathtaking in Malacañang.

He challenged the people with connections to the central bank to open his bank accounts and promised he would not hold it against them.

“I will give you the authority, [but] I assure you that you will not get anything. If it [the money] exceeds ₱40 million, that includes my inheritance,” Duterte said.

But he said he would give the details of his bank accounts to his political enemies.

“They can go to hell,” he said.

The PACC is led by Dante Jimenez, who was appointed by Duterte in January.
