The 12-point gain in the administration’s general net satisfaction ratings was due to high net satisfaction scores achieved in Mindanao, NCR, and Balance Luzon, combined with a steady score in the Visayas.

The administration’s net rating stayed at “excellent” in Mindanao and NCR at +87 and +71, respectively.

It stayed very good in Balance Luzon with +67 in December and stayed steady in the Visayas at a “very good” +57.

The same survey also revealed that the administration got very good on five subjects, good on 11 subjects, and moderate on two subjects in its Governance Report Card.

The net rating of the administration was very good on: Fighting terrorism (+67), Helping the poor (+66), Building and maintenance of public works like roads and bridges (+59), Foreign relations (+55), and Providing jobs (+50).

It was good on: Reconciling with Muslim rebels (+48), Telling the truth to the people (+47), Defending the country’s territorial rights (+46), Protecting human rights (+45), Reconciling with communist rebels (+43), Fighting crimes (+43), Eradicating graft and corruption (+42), Ensuring an efficient public transportation system (+42), Ensuring that no family will ever be hungry (+33), Solving the problem of extrajudicial killings or EJK (+30), and Ensuring that oil companies do not take advantage of oil prices (+30).

The administration’s net rating improved on seven specific subjects, declined in one specific subject, and was steady on others.

The non-commissioned survey, fielded amongst 1,200 adults, had sampling error margins at ±3 for national percentages.

The Palace welcomed the new “excellent” rating as a sign that Filipinos continued to support the President.

In his regular press briefing held in Albay, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the government is motivated to continue working to achieve a “peaceful and prosperous nation” because of the growing trust of the majority of the Filipino people in the President.

“It is worth mentioning that the current administration’s +70 net satisfaction rating is considered record-high by SWS. It is also the highest net satisfaction rating received by any administration in the last 28 years,” Roque said.
