7 of 10 Pinoys rate Duterte ‘very good’

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte’s net satisfaction ratings rose to “very good” in the fourth quarter of 2017, the latest Fourth Quarter Social Weather Stations survey released Friday showed. 

The latest survey, conducted from Dec. 8 to 16, showed 71 percent of  Filipinos satisfied with Duterte’s performance, while 13 percent are dissatisfied. 

Indecision, meanwhile, is at 15 percent.  

Duterte’s gross satisfaction rose by 5 points from 67 percent in the previous quarter.

Duterte’s net satisfaction rating rose by 10 points to a “very good” +58, one grade up from the good +48 in September 2017.

The 10-point rise in the President’s net satisfaction rating nationwide was due to increases of 14 points in Balance Luzon, 11 points in Metro Manila, 10 points in the Visayas, and 3 points in Mindanao from September to December 2017.

Duterte’s net satisfaction rating stayed excellent in Mindanao, at +80 while in Metro Manila, it rose by one grade from good to very good at +55.  

It rose by one grade from good to very good in the Visayas, at +53; and in Balance Luzon from good to very good at +50. 

Duterte’s ratings likewise remained “very good” in both urban and rural areas; in all classes; among both men and women; among 25 year olds and above; and in all educational levels. 

His ratings, meanwhile, stayed “good” among 18-24 year olds. 

The latest survey, fielded amongst 1,200 adults, had sampling error margins of ±3 percent for national percentages.
