FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines will launch its first direct flight from Cebu to Singapore on December 16 to bring holiday seekers straight to the Lion City without having to connect in Manila.

Maria Cielo Villaluna, PAL Corporate Communications Department-External Communications head, said the four times weekly service (Monday/Wednesday/Friday/ Sunday) via PR517 departs Cebu at 10 pm and arrives in Singapore at 1:45 a.m. the following day.

She said the return service via PR518 will also operate four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), leaving Singapore at 2:45 a.m. and touching down in Cebu at 6:40 a.m.

At present, PAL flies to Singapore from Manila four times daily via PR 511, PR507, PR501 and PR509.

“Passengers can now choose between PAL’s Manila–Singapore and Cebu-Singapore frequencies to reach the highly popular Asian City, known for being a tourist haven,” said Villaluna.
