A bunkhouse in a construction site in Cebu City collapsed.

This resulted in the death of 5 workers.

The victims were rushed to Cebu City Medical Center, along with seven other construction workers who were also hurt.

44 construction workers sustained minor injuries.

Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council says, rescue and relief operations are ongoing.

It has accounted for 158 construction workers so far.

103 of them were able to escape and run away as the scaffoldings and steel bars were falling from the four-storey bunkhouse.
