The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has intercepted the smuggling of some luxury cars in the port of Cebu.
BOC alleged that the prices for each unit of the three Toyota Land Cruisers seized were undervalued.
The actual worth of each of the vehicles was supposedly P 6 million but the declared value was only P 1.4 million.
The Land Cruisers were shipped in container vans.
Customs Chief Isidro Lapena said BOC inspectors have only checked 6 of about 100 container vans in Cebu Port.
