Joint Task Force Sulu reports that a captive of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Sulu has been able to escape.
He has been identified as Edmundo Ramos.
Ramos is among the four ASG hostages who the bandits had threatened to behead last week.
The three other captives were previously able to flee from the ASG.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) says, the hostages get the chance to run away from their abductors as the ASG get distracted by the intensified military operations and are therefore forced to go constantly on the move across the island province.
