MARAGONDON, Cavite—A rape suspect who escaped prison last September was recaptured by police from this town on Monday morning after an informant tipped them off.
Marvin Alcedo, 23, who had been jailed in Naic but escaped last September 18, was arrested by Maragondon police after someone told them the rape suspect was seen at Barangay 4 in neighboring Magallanes town.
The Maragondon native was captured at Sitio Sumandal, Barangay Cabulusan in Magallanes.
Alcedo, who has been charged with violating Republic Act 7610, will be returned to the Naic jail, officer on case P02 Archie Arceo said.
