MARIVELES—The local government of Mariveles and the Freeport Area of Bataan are ensuring a business-friendly environment to locators, Mayor AJ Concepcion told a press briefing at the opening of the Pietrucha Manufacturing Philippines Inc. plant in the FAB on Tuesday.

“There is no competition between the Mariveles LGU and AFAB. We work together for progress in line with the vision of Gov. Abet Garcia,” Concepcion said.

“When I was still municipal councilor, I worked with AFAB chairman and administrator engineer Emmanuel Pineda, then the deputy administrator for operations,” said the mayor who looked visibly satisfied with Pineda’s appointment.

For his part, Garcia said Pietrucha is another proof that the province can host big investments. Garcia also praised the high engineering technology the company uses to manufacture its products.

The company manufactures vinyl sheet piling which is environment friendly, lightweight and extremely durable and is an advanced alternative to traditional materials such as steel, concrete and wood. It is used to reinforce flood protection systems, construct flood walls, protects the banks of various water reservoir as well as to protect slopes, landslide areas, and various excavation sites.
