One-stop shop for Clark travelers opens

Clark Freeport, Pampanga—A one-stop shop that will speed up the processing of documents especially for overseas Filipino workers was opened at the Clark International Airport Thursday.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade instructed the regional office of the National Economic and Development Authority, the province of Pampanga and 11 government agencies to execute the project.

The one stop shop will supply the documentation needs of other travelers as well and the papers will be processed within 24 hours.

The documentation had a total funding of P22-million budget with an initial P10 million provided by Clark Development Corp.

Aside from the Neda, the CDC and Pampanga, the other government agencies involved in the project are Clark International Airport Corp., Pag-IBIG Fund, the Department of Health, the Social Security System, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Professional Regulatory Commission, the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration, the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Maritime Industry Authority.

The concept was proposed by the Regional Development Council (RDC) of Region III to help overseas workers especially those from Central and Northern Luzon to obtain papers needed for job applications.
